Detector Optical Smoke Series 65 Apollo

The optical smoke detector of the series 65 uses light detection technology to detect a fire.

The mold has an external detector LED that turns white in idle state, but produces red light in alarm.

Operation

The optical smoke detector of the series 65 shaped and has a self-extinguishing polycarbonate shell with white smoke inlets wind-resistant. The contacts of stainless steel cleaner nickel connect the detector to the base. Under the Hood, a printed circuit board has mounted the optical system on one side and the electronics processing other signals. The detection chamber is configured black frame like a maze that prevents the penetration of ambient light. The maze has a thin covering resistant gauze insects. The camera houses an LED infrared light (LED) and a photo diode that has a full visible light filter as extra protection against ambient light.

Every three seconds, the LED emits collimated light explosion, modulated at 4 kHz. In air, the LED light does not fall directly on the LED because the LED is positioned at an obtuse angle to the diode.

When smoke enters the chamber, a fraction of the collimated light is scattered in the photo diode. The resulting signal from the photo diode is above a predefined threshold, the LED will light two more explosions, this time at two-second intervals. If the light is scattered in photodiode for both wrists – due to the presence of smoke – the detector signals an alarm condition by activating the alarm latch, increasing the current drawn from the source of about 40μA to a maximum of 75mA. This drop in impedance detector is recognized by the control panel as an alarm signal.

The alarm current also illuminates the full LED detector. A remote indicator connected between the terminal IN and terminal L1 will -R a voltage to power supply least 1 volts through it and, like this, will light.

To ensure proper operation of the detector, the control panel should be arranged to provide a maximum of 33 Volts dc and a minimum of 9 Dc volts in normal operation. The power may fall 6 Volts DC alarm conditions a feed stream of at least 10mA voltage is available in that. To ensure effective illumination of the integral LED and any remote indicator, the detector power must exceed 12 Volts.

To restore the detector to the rest condition, it is necessary to expel any smoke and interrupt the electrical supply to the detector by at least one second.
